Perry City Council approved a site plan for a Scooter’s Coffee location at its regular meeting on Monday.

The Board approved the plan for the site which will be located at 410 1st Avenue in Perry and will be a 664 square foot drive-thru-only kiosk in vacant land north of the Verizon store and south of the subway in Perry. In addition, the Board approved voluntary annexations one for Menz Land Co., LLC and one for Mr. and Mrs. Kyle Baxter.

In addition, Council approved a request for payment in the amount of $46,980 to Crow River Construction for the 2020 Downtown Streets and Utilities Improvement Project and work is tentatively expected to begin in August, a notice and public hearing to enter into a purchase agreement with Semper Fi Commercial Solutions and set hearing for September 5 for the matter, a development agreement with Hometown Rental Properties, LLC for the Downtown Housing Pilot Program Upper Story and an amendment to financial assistance to update a local match with line item and total project costs for the 2020 Downtown Streets and Utilities Improvement Project.

Finally, the Board approved the scheduling of a time and location for an August 1 nuisance abatement hearing in the Towncraft Building, approved the annual audit for fiscal year 2021, requests for residential construction tax abatement completed or to be completed in 2022 in Perry, a combination of a survey plan and the creation of a parcel for CK Properties, LLC and permitting the sale of unused/obsolete equipment for miscellaneous equipment that the city has accumulated.
